Product details
A bud vase that carries the mark of the hand that made it. Thrown by Noah, cofounder of Rowan, each piece comes out of the kiln with its own slight shift in dimension and glaze, the natural outcome of reduction firing to cone 10.
Cone 10 firing vitrifies the clay body fully, which means it holds water without absorption and goes straight into the dishwasher. The Moss Crackle glaze pools and breaks differently on every piece, so no two look exactly alike.
- 4.5" wide at the base, 6" tall
- Reduction fired to cone 10, highly vitrified and dishwasher safe
- Moss Crackle glaze with natural variation piece to piece
- Hand-thrown by Rowan cofounder Noah
Because each vase is made by hand, the piece you receive will differ slightly from the photos. That difference is the point.
FAQs
1. Is this bud vase dishwasher safe?
Yes. Each vase is reduction fired to cone 10, which fully vitrifies the clay body and makes it dishwasher safe.
2. Will my vase look exactly like the photos?
Not exactly. Because each piece is hand-thrown and reduction fired, there are natural variations in dimensions and glaze pattern. The item you receive will differ slightly from the photos, as that variation is inherent to the process.
3. What does cone 10 reduction firing mean for the vase?
Cone 10 refers to a high-temperature firing process that fully vitrifies the clay, making it dense, non-porous, and durable. Reduction firing creates the distinctive color variation and depth in the Moss Crackle glaze.
