Gorgeous but rough underside
Top surface is smooth and lovely. The underside is rougher with old patches, so I added felt pads to protect the table. Worth it for the character.
Big dough bowl, real history
Hand-carved from one block and you can tell. Mine has a hairline check across the bottom, which the listing flagged as part of its age. Anchors my console nicely.
The metal patching makes it
Those little metal repairs from its working life are my favorite detail. The wide low shape draws the eye on my dining table. I fill it with seasonal fruit.
