Lighter color than shown
The elm on mine leans warmer and lighter than the photo. Still gorgeous. Surface is smooth enough to sit on without snags.
Solid stool, real wear
Handcrafted from old elm and it shows in the cracks and color shifts. Holds my weight fine as a seat. There's an old nail head on the side that adds to it.
The opening is a clever touch
Use it as a side table by my bath and the cutout makes it easy to grab and move. The vintage elm grain on mine is dramatic. No two alike, clearly true.
